The book is written fairly well foe the most part. It flows well. There are some minor inconsistencies that I can overlook but what I cannot overlook is my severe dislike for the main character.One thing I loathe is when a strong female lead is written and shes an idiot. When a strong female character is written and especially when shes the focus of the story, im supposed to love her and root for her to get her guy(s) but i cannot with Winter. She keeps putting herself and others into horrific situations that should have gotten herself killed.and could have brought others down with her and when prsented with the next opportunity, she puts herself into again, another crappy situation! Ugh, girl. Plus how she treats the guys is not ok with me. spoilers: Winter keeps pressuring the guys into sharing her even when some are really not ok with the idea. Sure, they might like it in the end but the manipulation and pressure she puts on them is not to my liking. She uses sex appeal and sexual manipulation to get her way and its not a relationship tactic I can get behind. She also is fiercely jealous of any girl around them but needs her harem and even looks at people outside the 4 boys. What i hate most is the 2 boys who dont want to share her but are in love with her, she goes straight from crushing them by her getting sexually suggestive and and getting close with them and they shut her down at great pain to themselves and literally walks feet away to be screwed by 2 other dudes seconds later and sometimes out in the open where the other guys hear and see. Shes also a selfish brat who whines about why the other guys won't be ok sharing her and then is super possessive over them.Im tempted to end here even though i am a completionist. The guys I like and i want to see them eventually happy but i dont know if i can srand another 1 let alone 2 books with Winter.Plus, shes kinda gross. Obviously i know this is an Reverse Harem book so im not a prude but im not wanting porn, im wanting a relationship with likeable characters and when shes wearing panties that say "its not gonns lick itself" thats just nasty. Itd be nasty on a guy, its also nasty on a girl Sheridan Anne woooooah lady! You are an evil genius and I just want to get that out there right now!!Are you super sure this is your first RH series?!? If so, please make sure to stay in the RH genre whenever possible because you are ROCKING it!! Not even kidding your steamy scenes just keep getting that much steamier! I cannot wait for IF and WHEN Carver gets in on this because that will be sooooo HOT!!!Also another part of this book that I am falling in love with is the guys all go by their last names. I never knew how much more intense a book could be using the character last name, but when Winter gets pissed off at the boys and calls them by their whole name it is next level comedy. Kind of like when you were a kid and your mom called you by your whole name and you knew you were about to get it! Didn't know if you were coming back from this!!! Praying as you did your walk of shame because let's face it you probably did what ever it was she was yelling about....That is what I picture!!The twists and turns of book two will definitely keep you on the edge of your seat! Winter is constantly in danger or trying to be taken out. Every time they think they have the newest danger under control another one is popping up out of the wood work ready to try and kill her!! She is literally fighting the odds to keep her seat as the leader of Dynasty!Then some more twists and a few deaths later and they are still no closer to the answers King, Cruz, Winter, Gray and Carver are all looking for! I will say though that I was happy that the progress between Carver and Winter went from holy crap is he going to end her to mild toleration with a whole bunch of sexual tension! But Carver is as stubborn as or maybe even more stubborn that Winter and refuses to share his toys like the others. REALLY HOPING that changes!!BUT GRAY and WINTER WAS HOLY WOW!!! Like each new steamy scene and I am like who is this about to involve?!? Who is going to be where and doing what!? Are they gonna be able to keep this up? My answer is Jesus I hope so because it's too good not to be continued!!! They are all going to turn into piles of euphoria goo.Last WTF like that ending was just brilliant. I stopped and I went back and I was like no she didn't. But unfortunately you totally did!! I AM IN LOVE WITH CLIFF HANGERS! There I said it and if you love them then you love the twist this cliff hanger gives you! You will be as heart broken as I am!!! And if you hate them then HEY this gives you more reason to come back and find out what is going to happen!
